About the Role
The Operations Specialist ensures the efficient management of inventory, store operations, and grooming services while supporting customer service to maintain Three Tails' high standards of customer experience and operational excellence. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with store management and team members.
Requirements:
1. Availability Monday or Tuesdays, Wednesdays (required) and Thursdays (required)from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (30 hours/week).

Position Responsibilities
Inventory
• Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and organized daily.
• Conduct monthly checks for product expiration dates and report to the Store Manager (SM).
• Identify and report slow-moving items to the SM on a monthly basis.
• Perform regular inventory counts and address discrepancies with the SM.
• Process incoming shipments accurately and efficiently (checking expiration dates while intaking products).
• Prepare purchase orders as needed to maintain stock levels.
Store Operations
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists efficiently to maintain store functionality.
• Uphold merchandising guidelines by ensuring displays align with promotions, stock levels, and seasonal trends.
• Rotate and refresh store displays regularly to optimize customer engagement.
• Assure proper signage is displayed for instore promotions and upcoming events.
Grooming Operations
• Manage grooming appointments based on groomer responsibilities:
o Schedule future appointments with accuracy and customer convenience in mind.
o Communicate appointment vacancies, utilizing the cancellation list to fill openings effectively.
o Schedule and confirm current appointments using the Square App.
o Ensure customer information is correct for accurate appointment reminders.
• Maintain grooming records:
o File grooming cards accurately and in a timely manner.
o Pull grooming cards in advance for upcoming appointments.
Online Store Management
• Manage and maintain the online store, ensuring accurate product listings, inventory synchronization, and timely updates to reflect current promotions or stock levels.
Customer Service
• Assist with checking out customers at the register, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience.
• Answer phone calls as needed, providing accurate information and support to customers.

The Event Planner & Social Media Specialist plays a critical role in fostering customer engagement, brand advocacy, and community involvement at Three Tails. This role is responsible for planning and executing special events, managing social media presence, and implementing marketing initiatives to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about connecting with pet owners through innovative campaigns and events.
Requirements:
1. Expertise in managing social media platforms, including Facebook/Meta Business, Instagram, and TikTok.
2. Availability for evening and weekend hours as needed for off-site events.
3. Creativity, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with the team and independently manage projects.
5. Hours: Flexible, with the possibility of evening and weekend shifts (30* hours/week)
o This position has the potential to transition to a hybrid role based on performance and demonstrated effectiveness in managing responsibilities.

• Develop and implement social media plans, ensuring consistent and engaging content.
• Create and post content about new items, sales, and featured products.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer comments and messages on all social media accounts.
• Maintain engagement and interaction across all Three Tails' social media platforms.
• Manage Facebook Groups, fostering a positive and active online community.
Marketing and Communication
• Design and distribute weekly and monthly newsletters to customers.
• Collaborate with management to execute initiatives that meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
• Ensure accurate communication of promotions, new products, and events to customers through all channels.
Customer Service and Brand Advocacy
• Assist with checking out customers at the register, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience.
• Answer phone calls as needed, providing accurate information and support to customers.
• Be friendly and courteous to customers, suppliers, and co-workers at all times.
• Promptly and professionally address customer comments and complaints, escalating issues to management as needed to maintain trust and satisfaction.
• Advocate for Three Tails' mission and values both during and outside of work.
Retail Support
• Tour the sales floor daily to stay informed about new merchandise and product placement.
• Utilize knowledge of retail merchandise, including product pricing, features, and stock locations.
• Implement effective cross-selling strategies and confidently guide customers to products.

• Ensure promotions are correctly displayed, labeled, and up to date.

• Greet customers warmly within 15-30 seconds of entering the store and engage with open-ended questions.
• Confidently implement cross-selling and upselling strategies.

Point of Sale (POS) and Loyalty
• Master all POS functions, ensuring smooth and accurate transactions.

Astro Program Management
• Accurately log frequent buyer purchases and promotions in the Astro program.

• Regularly check and respond to voicemail, email, and Square messages or forward them to the appropriate person.
