Position Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Engagement
• Ensure all promotions and sales initiatives are effectively communicated and displayed.
• Greet and engage customers, providing product recommendations and cross-selling opportunities.
• Lead by example in delivering top-tier customer service and training new sales associates.
• Master all POS and loyalty program functions, ensuring seamless transactions and proper reward redemption.
• Walk customers to specific products they inquire about, providing knowledgeable assistance.
Inventory & Merchandising
• Ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and accurately labeled.
• Conduct regular (monthly) inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor expiration dates and report slow-moving products and report to store manager monthly.
• Process incoming shipments accurately and efficiently (checking expiration dates while intaking products).
• Prepare purchase orders as needed to maintain stock levels. Separate and contact special order products.
Store Operations & Leadership
• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly store task lists, ensuring completion.
• Assist with training new employees in operational and sales best practices.
• Uphold merchandising guidelines by ensuring displays align with promotions, stock levels, and seasonal trends.
Online Store Management
• Manage and maintain the online store, ensuring accurate product listings, inventory synchronization, and timely updates to reflect current promotions or stock levels.
Customer Service
• Assist with checking out customers at the register, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience.
• Answer phone calls, providing accurate information and support to customers.

The Event Planner & Social Media Specialist plays a critical role in fostering customer engagement, brand advocacy, and community involvement at Three Tails. This role is responsible for planning and executing special events, managing social media presence, and implementing marketing initiatives to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about connecting with pet owners through innovative campaigns and events.
Requirements:
1. Expertise in managing social media platforms, including Facebook/Meta Business, Instagram, and TikTok.
2. Availability for evening and weekend hours as needed for off-site events.
3. Creativity, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with the team and independently manage projects.
5. Hours: Flexible, with the possibility of evening and weekend shifts (30* hours/week)

• Plan, organize, and execute special events to engage the community and drive traffic to the store.
• Coordinate monthly team trainings with brands to enhance product knowledge.
• Organize quarterly in-store demonstrations with brands, aligning with promotional campaigns.
• Oversee the Sampling Program to introduce new products to customers effectively.
• Manage and promote Adoption Bundles through Astro for customers adopting new pets.
• Plan and execute monthly Birthday Club celebrations for pets.
Social Media Management
• Expertly manage social media platforms, including Facebook/Meta Business, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Develop and implement social media plans, ensuring consistent and engaging content.
• Create and post content about new items, sales, and featured products.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer comments and messages on all social media accounts.
• Maintain engagement and interaction across all Three Tails' social media platforms.
• Manage Facebook Groups, fostering a positive and active online community.
Marketing and Communication
• Design and distribute weekly and monthly newsletters to customers.
• Collaborate with management to execute initiatives that meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
• Ensure accurate communication of promotions, new products, and events to customers through all channels.
Customer Service and Brand Advocacy
• Assist with checking out customers at the register, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience.

Astro Program Management

• Ensure products are properly labeled, and report damages, discrepancies, and non-moving items to the Operations Specialist.

• Execute opening and closing procedures and other task lists to the highest standards.
Customer Service
• Greet and assist customers professionally, answering questions and resolving issues promptly.
• Answer incoming calls with a professional greeting, responding to customer inquiries, transferring calls, or taking detailed messages.
• Regularly check and respond to voicemail, email, and Square messages or forward them to the appropriate person.
